Minister Felicia Hasty is a child of God who loves to minister His word to all that will hear. She is the daughter of the late Evelyn Jean Russell and Dr. Leonard R, Felton of Maryland. Being raised by her maternal grandparents, George and Ethel Russell, she began her foundation in ministry at the Rising Sun Baptist Church, Norfolk, VA, where her paternal grandfather the late Dr. Hilton C. Felton Sr. was pastor. As a teenager she knew that God had a great destiny for her in the ministry but just like many others she ran from her calling. Finally in 1999, she said yes to God but was still unsure about her work in the Kingdom. In 2005 she was ordained and licensed as Minister Felicia Hasty. Minister Hasty is a no nonsense powerful preacher and teacher. Lives have been changed through her ministry at numerous conferences, workshops and worship services, to name a few. She is a member of the ministerial staff at the New Testament Church, Portsmouth, VA, where Dr. Jerome Williams is Pastor.
She has had many accomplishments as a recording artist, songwriter, actress, and international entertainer. She has been in the company of many local and national recording artists such as Douglas Miller, Greg O’Quinn, LaShawn Pace, CeCe Winans, Earl Bynum, Peggy Britt, and many others. She was voted one of STAR 94.1’s Upcoming Gospel Artists. In 2004 she released a demo CD entitled “He did It For Me”. She began playwriting in December of 2001 and directed her first production “The Denied Christ” before a packed house. She’s had numerous lead acting roles in plays such as Cast the First Stone, That Aint What I Heard , and Let The Lord Have His Way, produced by Ranelli Production Group. She is the writer and director of the gospel stage play “Thy Will Be Done” and director an editor of the short film “Is Anybody Listening”. In 2003 she started FHEHAS Productions, a Christian entertainment company.
Outside of working for the Lord, Minister Hasty says, “one of my greatest accomplishments was marrying my high school sweetheart Alonzo Hasty, whom I started dating my sophomore year at I. C. Norcom High School.” Today they are still together working in the ministry. They have three girls: Evelyn, Jalisa and Alicia.
